As your local member and a resident in Beeliar, I am concerned by the unreasonable odour produced by Cockburn Cement at their Munster facility. This is why I am running a Cockburn Cement community petition, calling on CCL to cease producing unreasonable odours by:
- Moving its lime manufacturing operations to its Kwinana facility and closing its Munster facility.
- Failing that, installing thermal oxidisers at the Munster facility to eliminate unreasonable odours.
- Ceasing the stockpiling and burning of coal at the Munster facility.
